Yerevan (Agenzia Fides) – The Turkish Foreign Minister Ahmet Davutoglu, in a recent meeting with a well-known Armenian political representative, suggested the possibility of opening the doors of Turkey to the descendants of Armenian families who fled from the Turkish territory after the anti-Armenian pogrom in 1915. This was revealed by Armenian sources consulted by Fides Agency.
During his recent visit to Yerevan, which took place on the occasion of the Conference for economic cooperation among the Countries of the Black Sea area, the Turkish Minister wanted to meet former Prime Minister of Armenia Vagzen Manukian. During the conversation between the two, Davutoglu also outlined the scenario of a possible return to Turkey of the Armenians of the Diaspora whose family roots lie in the Anatolian area.
