Inaugural Lecture of SOAS’ new Centre of World Christianity
You are invited to the opening of the new Centre of World
Christianity which will promote the study of the historic and modern
Christianity in Africa and Asia by networking research on this subject across
SOAS and collaborating with specialists from other institutions. Among
the Centre’s aims is also to inform policy makers and the wider public about
the plurality of Christianity in Africa and Asia and its place in society and
culture. The Centre’s first initiative is a lecture series on Christianity
in Ethiopia, commencing with the above lecture.
